Since its first edition in 1997, our Festival has been growing, broadening its objectives and adding a great number of activities to its local and international programs. Rapidly becoming a key factor in the international promotion of national stage productions, the Festival has also become part of the international circuit of leading world festivals. Its development would not have been possible if it had not been for its audience, who supported the continuity of this biennial event which reached out to over one hundred thousand five hundred spectators in 2003.
