A multicultural festival that has been organised since 1998 has become the largest of its kind in Finland. The festival offers three days of music on stage and on the festival area, art exhibitions, children’s programme, dance, and discussion forums.

Järvenpää is best known as the home town of the master composer Jean Sibelius. Sibelius built his log villa Ainola to be "sufficiently far from the temptations of Helsinki". He and his family lived at Ainola for more than fifty years. The spirit of Jean Sibelius is very much alive at Ainola. The museum, maintained to preserve a home-like atmosphere, is open to public from May to the end of September.

Jyväskylä Arts Festival (in Central Finland) is the oldest on-going summer festival in Scandinavia, reaching back to the year 1955. During the last years the festival has concentrated on non-verbal theatre, clownery, mime and new circus; underground films; a seminar programme covering a wide range of topical issues such as chaos theories or artificial intelligence; music ranging from classical to techno, and a children's programme.

This truly international event takes place in Tornio and Haparanda where Finnish and Swedish cultures quite literally come together. During the event jazz and blues will resound in concert halls, in a jazz marquee, in town squares and in clubs. Uncompromising quality and a cosmopolitan character have been the abiding themes of this festival throughout its history.

The programme comprises concerts in the traditional homes of great Finnish artists on the shores of Lake Tuusula in honour of such local masters as Pekka Halonen, Eero Järnefelt and Jean Sibelius.

Founded in 1970. Two major factors contibuted towards the birth of the Kuopio Dance Festival. On the local level there was a need for creating a summer event which would be attractive enough to draw both domestic and international audiences and on national level a desire to join in the spirit of the birth of summer festivals, such a significant feature of the cultural scene in Finland during the 1960´and event today.
Kuopio Dance Festival is the oldest and largest annual dance festival in Nordic countries having contemporary dance, classical ballet and folkore program.

The world's most enchanting film festival will be twenty years old in summer 2005. April Jazz Espoo, the most important festival of jazz in the Helsinki area, will bring Finnish and international artists to Tapiola for a five-day celebration. Stars at earlier festivals have included Ray Charles, Joe Zawinul, and Nina Simone. The festival will provide top-class jazz in concert halls, a club atmosphere in restaurants and family entertainment in the E.ON Jazz Marquee. April Jazz Espoo is hosted by the Espoo Big Band Society.

The Baltic Jazz festival, during its history, has taken place during the height of summer in the Turku archipelago. During the times of its beginning in 1987, the festival was a small local event, which took place amidst a small group of jazz and archipelago connoisseurs.
Since its modest beginning, Baltic Jazz has grown into a multifaceted and more and more international jazz festival. Nowadays, the festival continuously brings new visitors. Baltic Jazz, in the process of its growth and development, has become one of the most significant jazz festivals of Finland, while preserving the friendly, family atmosphere it had in its beginning. This aspect is something that the arrangers of the festival especially try to preserve.

Jazz on the Beach is one of Finland's most important festivals of modern jazz. Jazz is performed the intimate setting of a beach concert, in the atmospheric old wooden town and in clubs and concert halls. This festival attracts about 4,000 visitors every year.

An annual and highly diverse six-day event held every year shortly after midsummer. It provides an opportunity to enjoy the finest accordion music in the most beautiful surroundings. Rest assured that this event is a good cut above nearly all of its competitors in the world of accordion music.

National champions from 13 countries will participate in the World Championship Final. OMVF and the Air Guitar World Championships have granted competition licences to national competition organisers, and the latest additions to the group of organising countries are France and the United Arab Emirates along with the very latest one, Canada, which is also known for its peace-keeping work as well as its maples. Previous members of the Air Guitar network include Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States, Norway, Austria, Germany and Ireland.
