The history of the Festival in Granada is linked to the landscape and to the main monuments of the city. Its stages are to be found all over the city and, more recently, even some in nearby villages.The programming of the Festival is traditionally based on classical music, ballet and Spanish dancing, but together with this classical repertoire it also includes attractive samples of flamenco, ancient and contemporary music, interesting exhibitions, as well as the Cursos “Manuel de Falla”, which cover higher education in music at a professional level.

International Music Festival of Cantonigròs was born in 1983. It’s a Festival of International choral music and popular folk dances. The participating groups, during four days in july, take part on the different competitions and daily evening concerts where the obligatory pieces are from XVIII, XIX and XX centuries.
