Standing at the crossroads of the French and German cultural complexes the Echternach Festival attempts to strike a balance. Moreover, in recent years Echternach Music Festival has had excellent connections with the Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, which resulted in the foundation of a festival orchestra - the "Ensemble Instrumental du Festival d'Echternach". The Festival program is not confined to musical performances; it includes exhibitions, with famous artists displaying at Echternach.
